Summit Mosquito Dunks® – Biological Mosquito Larvae Control

Control mosquito larvae before they develop into biting adults with Summit Mosquito Dunks®, a biological larvicide designed for use in standing water.

Each donut-shaped dunk slowly releases Bacillus thuringiensis israelensis (Bti) into the water, targeting mosquito larvae as they feed. According to the manufacturer, one Mosquito Dunk treats up to 100 sq. ft. of surface water and remains effective for 30 days or more under normal conditions. The dunks can also be broken into smaller pieces for containers and smaller water areas.

Mosquito Dunks® are easy to use: simply place the required number of dunks directly into standing water. They are suitable for many outdoor locations where mosquitoes may breed, including:

• Bird baths
• Rain barrels
• Water gardens and ponds
• Flowerpot saucers
• Roof gutters
• Old tires
• Animal watering troughs
• Unused swimming pools
• Other containers holding standing water

When used according to the label directions, the Bti targets mosquito larvae before they become flying adult mosquitoes. The manufacturer states that Mosquito Dunks® may be used in fish habitats and around plants, pets, wildlife and beneficial insects.

How to use

Place one Mosquito Dunk into up to 100 sq. ft. of standing water. Use a smaller portion for smaller containers. Replace after approximately 30 days or follow the exact application schedule printed on the product label.
